Founder’s Message
Dear Visitors,
Welcome to the Turner Syndrome Foundation and Society
As an Endocrinologist, I have dedicated my career to understanding and addressing the complexities of hormonal and genetic conditions. My journey, particularly during my service at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, brought me closer to the unique challenges faced by individuals with Turner Syndrome. Many young girls presented with short stature and primary amenorrhoea, highlighting the need for focused care, support, and awareness.
In 2017, we organized the first Turner Syndrome CME in Chennai, India, marking a significant step in bringing together experts and creating awareness about this condition.
This experience inspired me to establish the Turner Syndrome Foundation and Society—a platform where science meets compassion. We aim to improve lives through advocacy, empowering education, and fostering a strong sense of community while supporting research and collaborative efforts to advance care for individuals with Turner Syndrome.
Together, we aim to:
- Raise global awareness about Turner Syndrome.
- Support groundbreaking research to advance medical care.
- Build a network where individuals and families find strength and solidarity.
Our efforts are guided by the values of Trust, Strength, and Support (TSS). These principles reflect our commitment to creating a brighter future for everyone impacted by Turner Syndrome.
I invite you to join us on this journey as a donor, volunteer, or advocate. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
Thank you for visiting and for your interest in this vital cause
Warm regards,
Dr. S. Ramkumar
